Experience Battle Royale LIVE. A game inspired by the popular Fortnite game mode “Battle Royale”.
The Battle Royale Box creates a bubble, as the game progresses, the bubble gets smaller until the safe zone is only a couple metres wide.
You will have 100 hit points. If you run out – you’re out.
Good news is – you have a Supply Crate! Grab awesome items like weapon upgrades, more ammo, and aids such as bandages and shield boosts. Shields act like additional hit points, super important in Battle Royale!
The Bad News? The “safe zone” is shrinking! The Battle Royale Box will create the safe zone with radio. Every minute the bubble will get smaller. Gamers outside of the bubble take damage every 30 seconds!
Where can you play this?
Battle Royale is – at its heart – a hiding game. Like hide-and-seek its important gamers have a lot of places to hide. Dense forest or dense “urban” terrain (lots of outbuildings, hay bails, camo nets) are great places to play.
With the key, turn your Battle Box on. It should once more say "Spare Device" on the display. Using the red or black button scroll through the different options until you find "Royale Box". Press the green button (middle) to select. The second box should be set as a "Supply Crate" in the same way.
Place the Royale Box in the centre of wherever you are playing. Then, a few metres away, place the Supply Crate (further explanation of these here). Before starting use the "End" option on the Controller. Have the players stand next to the Royale Box. They have 30secs to find a hiding spot. Once the time is up "Start" the mission.
Battle Royale can be played with teams or without teams. If you choose to play free-for-all style (no teams) we highly recommend making Battle Royale your final set of missions. It can be tricky to change the gaming guns back to teams.
Setting the gaming guns to Any Team requires the Controller (see the general guide). Go to the Any Team option, then shoot all the gaming guns. If their sensor flashes they are now set to free-for-all. Make sure all gaming guns flash.
Scoring is simple. Whichever gamer/s are still alive at the end of the game wins. Often after 5 minutes there is only one survivor.
The Battle Royale Box uses radio to control the size of the field. It works best when you use the Start and End functions on the Controller. At the start of the mission the width of the field is approx 50m in any direction away from the box. Every minute, this is reduced until there is only a couple metres room.
We recommend placing the Battle Royale box on high ground in the center of the battlefield. The higher the box is, the better its performance as it uses radio.
Anyone outside the "safe zone" will receive 2 warnings as a sound effect that they are in the danger zone. After that they will take radiation damage every 15 seconds.
